Annual Box Fan Drive
Did you know that individuals over 65 years of age are at the greatest risk of experiencing hospitalizations due to heat-related illnesses? This is often due to a lack of air conditioning or insufficient cooling systems in their homes. Proper air circulation can aid in reducing body temperature, thus preventing medical emergencies.
To address this issue, Mu Omega Zeta Chapter partners with the Natchitoches Council on Aging to assist elderly individuals in staying safe and cool during periods of high temperatures. Mu Omega Zeta Chapter is proud to have donated over 300 fans to the elderly in the local community.
Dolled UP
Members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Mu Omega Zeta Chapter, and Zeta Amicae of Natchitoches Auxiliary continue to uphold the founding principles of the sorority by giving back to the community.
Sorority members and members of the Natchitoches Amicae donated 50 dolls to the 6th Annual Dolled Up Doll Drive. Mu Omega Zeta Chapter and Amicae have participated in this event for six years. Dolled Up promotes positive mentorship for girls.
Z-HOPE Initiatives
Mu Omega Zeta Chapter is actively involved in providing service through various projects under the International Service Initiative: Z-Hope: Zetas Helping Other People Excel. Z- HOPE is an interactive, holistic, and multidimensional outreach service initiative designed to enhance, cultivate, and empower participants to develop health-promoting lifestyle choices across the lifespan. It builds on the Sorority’s legacy of service by offering a service initiative that addresses the mission-critical needs of a shifting population.
Autism Awareness FUN DAY
Fun and interactive activities for all ages. The Autism Awareness Fun Day aims to bring the community together to learn, celebrate, and support individuals with autism spectrum disorder. Vendors will showcase products and services geared towards improving the lives of those affected by autism. A keynote speaker will share insights and experiences, inspiring attendees to promote acceptance and understanding. Join us for a day filled with education, connection, and fun!
